A breakneck selloff that brought the Euro to the lowest level in four months against the British Pound has paused to digest near the 0.88 figure.

The gold price forecast has turned bearish as we anticipate a deeper correction. Near term target is near $1285 with a deeper correction to $1215 possible.

Today, we have the FOMC and options markets are pricing in some decent-sized volatility ahead of the announcement; we’ll take a look at a couple of major players.

The Nikkei 225 has made a new high for 2017 and the technical picture doesn’t obviously suggest that it can’t hang on up here. The week’s close will be very interesting.
