Both the dollar and yen posted fresh highs against most other currencies amid a backdrop of continued sputtering across global stock markets. The DXY dollar index rallied to four-month highs above 92.61. The MSCI Asia-Pacific equity index touched two-week lows, while European stock markets managed to pare early declines as the morning session wore on, while U.S. index futures rebounded and were showing moderate gains heading into the New York open. The U.S. Treasury yield forayed briefly under 1.60% before recouping above 1.620%.
