The Dollar traded firmer, aided on its way by bearish data and developments affecting a number of other currencies. The USD index (DXY) rallied 0.4% to a six-week high of 95.50. USD-CAD was a mover, popping above 1.3000 after Saudi Arabia froze all trade and investment with Canada in response to Canada’s support of detained human rights activists. EUR-USD ebbed to fresh six-week lows below 1.1550, weighed on by much weaker than expected German manufacturing orders data and a plunge in the Eurozone Ifo Q3 economic indicator.
