Both the Dollar and Yen have weakened against most other currencies today, concomitantly with a rise in Asian stock markets and 0.5% gain in the S&P 500 equity index. EUR-USD recouped to the lower 1.1300s, putting in some distance from the six-week low seen yesterday at 1.1289. The U.S. currency also lost ground to the generally firmer Dollar bloc currencies. Yen crosses have seen the biggest movement, with the Japanese currency marginally underperforming the Dollar. This saw USD-JPY lifted moderately higher, back to the upper 109.0s.
