XE Market Analysis: Asia – Oct 26, 2017

The dollar got a boost from the ECB, which laid out plans to extend its QE program through the first nine-months of 2018, albeit at lowered purchasing levels. EUR-USD fell to 1.1665 lows, a two-plus month base, from 1.1815 ahead of the policy announcement. USD-JPY topped at 114.03, though was again pushed back from the 114 handle. USD-CAD continued to advance following Wednesday’s BoC meeting, topping at 1.2851. Cable meanwhile, touched 1.3162 lows, as it followed the euro down.
