The dollar initially fell following the softer than expected U.S. jobs report, though it appeared the market took advantage of weakness, and piled back into the greenback. The DXY topped at fresh 2018 highs of 92.89 before easing back to 92.53 as pre-weekend profit taking set in. EUR-USD made trend lows of 1.1911 from 1.1995 highs, while USD-JPY recovered from 108.65 lows post-jobs, to top at 109.27. USD-CAD fell from 1.2927 to 1.2840 as oil prices spiked, while cable made trend lows of 1.3487.
