The greenback sold off through the morning as Wall Street rallied, though later bounced following the announcement of the imposition of tariffs on imported steel and aluminum, which saw stocks tumble severely. EUR-USD bottomed at 1.2155 before topping at 1.2222, as USD-JPY peaked at 107.20 before sliding to 106.35. USD-CAD spiked up to 1.2895 on NAFTA worries, while cable slipped to new trend lows of 1.3712.
