The Dollar rallied in N.Y. on Thursday morning, supported by better than expected jobless claims and a firmer Philly Fed index. The DXY topped at 96.26, up from opening levels of 96.00, though later faded, largely as Cable touched two-month highs of 1.2980. EUR-USD bottomed at 1.1372 before heading back over 1.1390, while USD-JPY peaked at 109.10. USD-CAD pulled back from 1.3219 highs. Into the close, USD-JPY popped to better than two-week highs of 109.40 following reports that the U.S. is weighing lifting tariffs on China.
