XE Market Analysis: Asia – Mar 22, 2021

The Dollar was mostly range bound in N.Y. on Monday, though overall had lost some ground to the major currencies overnight. The DXY slipped from 92.15 in Asia to a low of 91.72 at the open. The index attempted to head higher, though later ended up near its lows. Existing home sales disappointed, and weighed slightly on the Greenback. Treasury yields meanwhile, edged lower, also taking some wind out of the USD’s sails. Major equity indices were higher, with the tech sector outperforming.
