XE Market Analysis: North America – May 23, 2019

The Dollar has traded firmer against most currencies fo far today, with the exceptions of the Yen and Swiss Franc, which outperformed on a rekindled safe-haven bid as European and Asian stock markets, and U.S. equity index futures, turned quite sharply lower. The narrow trade-weighted USD index lifted to a one-month high of 98.26, while EUR-USD concurrently declined to a one-month low at 1.1129. USD-JPY has printed a two-day low at 110.10, building on losses from the high seen on Tuesday at 110.67.
