XE Market Analysis: North America – Mar 11, 2019

Forex markets have been directionally unambitious so far today. EUR-USD lifted to a high of 1.1258, surpassing Friday’s peak by 12 pips, before settling back under 1.1250. The pair remains down by near 1% from week-ago levels, thanks to the losses seen in the wake of the ECB’s unexpected decision for another blast of TLTRO lending. USD-JPY printed a two-session high at 111.30. Stock markets have mostly traded modestly higher, paced by a 1.9% rally by China’s SSE index today amid the expectation for more economic stimulus.
