The Dollar index advanced in early N.Y. trade on Monday, though gave back the bulk of its gains after the London close. Wall Street was higher following Trump’s delaying imposition of higher tariffs on Chinese goods, which ultimately saw USD safe-haven buying dry up. EUR-USD bottomed at 1.1337 before heading over 1.1360, while USD-JPY printed two-month highs of 111.23 before easing back. USD-CAD was up near 1.3200 as WTI oil prices fell 3%. Cable managed a high near 1.3100.
