The Dollar firmed in N.Y. on Friday, as hot U.S. CPI data supported. Yields later fell back from highs, as Wall Street sold off sharply. The DXY topped at seven-session highs of 97.01, up from lows of 96.72. EUR-USD peaked at 1.1360, later falling to 1.1318. USD-JPY attempted to rally early, though the downdraft in risk levels weighed. USD-CAD printed three-plus month highs of 1.3232 as oil prices again fell. Gable was fairly steady until a UK minister quit and called for another Brexit referendum. Cable bottomed at 1.2969.
