The Dollar index rallied in N.Y. trade on Monday, taking it to 95.36 highs from opening lows of 95.01. The move came despite softer ISM and construction spending data, and was largely attributed to the trade agreement between the U.S. and Canada. EUR-USD slipped to 1.1564, helped lower by Italian political concerns. USD-JPY rallied to 2018 highs of 114.06 on the back of improved risk taking levels. USD-CAD bottomed at 1.2787 following the trade deal, and remained pressured by higher oil prices. Cable gave back early gains to 1.306, later falling to near 1.3025.
