Incoming data had little impact, with the Markit manufacturing PMI edging slightly higher, and the Richmond Fed index printing better than expected levels. EUR-USD peaked at 1.1717, then fell to 116.73 into the close. USD-JPY dipped briefly under 111.00 before topping over 111.30. USD-CAD fell to 1.3137, then bounced to 1.3174, while Cable rallied to 1.3159, later easing to 1.3129.
