The dollar traded broadly lower in N.Y. on Wednesday, taking the DXY to 94.04 after printing near seven-month highs of 95.03 on Tuesday. Calming of political tensions in Italy allowed the euro to rally, taking EUR-USD to 1.1676 highs. USD-JPY traded briefly over 109.00 on the surge on Wall Street, though later eased back to 108.83 lows. USD-CAD slid sharply following a hawkish BoC policy statement, where a July rate hike appears to be in the cards now. Cable followed EUR-USD higher, though the pairing could not hold the 1.33 handle.
