XE Market Analysis: Asia – Nov 02, 2017

FX trade started the Thursday session with an as-expected BoE rate hike, which was followed with a sell-the-fact response from the sterling market. Cable retreated to near one-month lows of 1.3058 into the London close from 1.3225. Elsewhere, details of the U.S. tax reform bill were released, which initially did not go over well. Stocks and the dollar both fell. EUR-USD topped at 1.1687 from 1.11636 lows, while USD-JPY bottomed at 113.54 from 114.21. USD-CAD selling was noted ahead of Friday’s U.S./Canada jobs and trade reports.
